Hi, My Name Is Yasir and Welcome to Select-Start VG
Now that’s out the way. We are Start-Select Video Games aka ‘SSVG’. Some of us have been in the gaming industry for a couple of years and others for a few. Mainly emerging from the depths of Quality Assurance and Software Testing (shudder).
When we tell people that we’re ‘Game Testers’, they would ultimately think we simply lounge around all day, cracking jokes, eat junk food and play video games until our eyes start to bleed. While this is partially true, it isn’t the full case (and we intend to expand upon this in a future article). But it was from this job that we all discovered one another and are here today writing this special blog. More on the team here.
Story Time
Some of us still remain in QA and others managed to escape fall into other departments within the industry. My situation is different, simply because currently I’m what you would say a ‘Free Spirit’ (unemployed according to modern society). That being the case, one rainy night I thought to myself, “Why not make a video game blog? We could post about our experiences and other information related to the gaming industry! I’ve got the skills, the knowledge and the techno knowhow…I can do this”!
Excited as I was to get started, I jumped straight onto Google and researched, “How to start a video game blog?” As three days of countless YouTube tutorial sessions and blog research passed by, I’d acquired the foundation and knowledge on how to get started! The blog has been set up, designs for our pages have been created and articles for future posts are being typed up. Being the beginning of an incredible journey, we look forward to explore what other wonders the industry has to offer.
Man On A Mission
I truly believe that ‘Content’ is the key to a successful blog. Me and my team are here to deliver all that is of interest to anyone and everyone involved in the gaming community. With the aim to post a variety of content, ranging from relative gaming news and interviews to reviewing the latest upcoming titles and gaming hardware.
To sum it all up, we’re just a bunch of down-to-earth guys who love video games. We’re here to support our industry and share our knowledge and experiences with you!
