NINTENDO 97! I Mean SIXTY FOUR

This just in, Nike have shown off images of what seems to be Nintendo 64 Air Max 97 trainers. Although it doesn’t say Nintendo anywhere, the colour scheme and style of the trainer is clearly is inspired by it.

Sporting the colours grey, red, yellow blue and green, this reminiscent of the classic N64 controller or even the logo. The tongue for the right trainer shows ‘Power’ and for the left it’s ‘Reset, so if someone is standing in front of you, you are technically in the right position to be a walking N64 console.

The inside sole also displays a special Nike graphic in the style of the ESRB logo. The Air Max logo on the back heel has also been given a Nintendo logo treatment.

Whoever designed these trainers were spot on with the detail. Even the mud guard has a little triangle pattern to symbolise the C-button arrows. I for one can’t wait to cop me a pair of these.

These will be retailing for $160, no release date announced yet.
