Yakuza’s main character Kiryu Kazuma could be heading to Tekken 7

A tweet posted by developer Katsuhiro Harada has got everyone talking. No, not for the creppy Alisa picture but for the photo next to it. The image shows Tekken character Lee Chaolan appearing in what appears to be a brand new stage. Fans have speculated that the stage resembles a very familiar Yakuza area.

The building is a restaurant chain known as Matsuya which appears in many Yakuza games. This seems like a very big tease for Yakuza fans as they have been asking for Kiryu since the start of Tekken 7.

There should be some Tekken news dropping very soon. Bandai Namco had a special broadcast planned for EVO 2020 but due to the cancellation, they had to reschedule.

Michael Murray, Tekken 7 producer said in a recent reddit post, “I’m sorry that there is no longer exhibition matches for Tekken 7 at EVO online this year. The team has been hard at work on stuff to reveal at EVO online, and I am currently evaluating the best way to do that now. Thanks for your support of the title, and I hope everyone is staying safe!”

We’ll just have to wait and see if Kiryu or any other Yakuza character will make it into Tekken 7 soon.
